Over the last 14 years, Apira has become one of the UK’s leading Healthcare Information Service companies.  We work across the health and social care spectrum with Apira clients ranging from central policy, NHS health commissioning and social enterprises, to private and independent provider organisations.

As health and social care specialists, Apira understands the challenges facing the sector.  Whether in meeting your QIPP targets, achieving Foundation Trust status, merging your provider services or supporting your staff to establish their social enterprises, we can help.

The Apira team are chosen for their in-depth knowledge and experience of the NHS IT and information landscape and, together, we have delivered projects at national, regional and local levels.  Our services extends from rolling out Cerner Millennium and RiO clinical information systems across London and the South to providing strategic advice to trust boards to help them meet the challenges of the information revolution.

We work in close partnership with our clients to truly engage with and understand each organisation’s needs and propose the best solution. We know the best results come from delivering tangible benefits, and do emphasise the management and embedding of change as a key component of all of our projects.

We are proud to say that we have earned our reputation through ‘doing a good job’ and, since our launch in 1997 have grown based on continued recommendations and repeated support from our clients.

Our services are broken down into three Practice areas, namely

  • IT Deployment and Management
  • Information Governance and Information Security
  • Business Intelligence and Technical Services

In each of these areas we have an experienced team of experts who are able to offer pragmatic, flexible solutions to help you deliver the right outcomes.  Click on the respective area in the right hand pane to find out more details of our skills and competencies.

"It is sometimes inappropriate to single one person out for praise but I cannot let the opportunity pass to express my deep admiration to James Hawkins, the project lead whose patience, resilience, ingenuity, charm, determination and intuition have combined to steer this project to its conclusion."

Chief Executive
Ridgeway Partnership

"The work has delivered more value & results than were originally commissioned."

Director of Operations

"Informed staff who are able to hit the ground running and deliver tangible results quickly."

Director of IM&T
West London Mental Health NHS Trust

“From a Trust perspective, we’ve got a much improved ability to track and manage our provision of services and to report our activities.”

IT Director
Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

“I needed a firm who could not only manage a project of considerable scope (budget approximately £3m and 30-40 staff), but also hit the ground running ….The project was managed with extreme professionalism. ..... I would have no hesitation in recommending Apira”
