Information governance is of critical concern for clinicians, managers and patients alike. Significant efforts are currently are being deployed to ensure controlled access and use of information, both locally and nationally.

Recent work includes:

• National work to programme manage Access Control (Connecting for Health)
• Local work to deliver the requirement of the Information Toolkit
• Local work to map all data flows in a Mental Health Trust
• Management of local Freedom of Information and Data Protection Act compliance
