Information
governance and data quality
We are experienced in the
management of information governance and data quality. In
preparing for NPfIT deployments, and delivering on existing
legal and good practice duties, clients have a continuing
workload in reviewing new guidance and applying this in their
local circumstances. We are able to develop this area to ensure
that undue risks are not taken with patient data and that
information is shared safely and legally to improve services.
This has involved working
with Caldicott Guardians and associated groups to interpret
and apply relevant guidance to ensure best practice on the
ground. This work includes agreeing information sharing protocols,
changes to induction materials, job descriptions, contracts,
and presenting briefing materials to a range of stakeholders.
We have also developed standard
procedures for PCTs wishing to authorise paperless working
in GP surgeries. Recently we have been working with Trusts
to review the implications of the new Information Governance
toolkit in order to apply this new standard.
